Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Schulenburg, TX is seeking a Welder to contribute to infrastructure projects including drainage systems, pipes, bridges and stormwater management. You will read blueprints, set up and weld components, and ensure precision with cutting and layout tools.

Ideal candidates bring proficiency in MIG and Stick welding, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to work safely in a team environment with strong attention to detail. Prior welding experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
• Attention to detail and precision with measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Use templates, patterns, scribes, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Align and assemble product for welding using crane, lever hoist, and chains.
• Use cutting or plasma torch to cut to layout with precision.
• Adhere to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About the Role

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.

• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist ,chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
