Contech is seeking a Welder at our Mitchell, Indiana plant to contribute to drainage systems, bridges and stormwater management. You will read blueprints, lay out material, and weld with MIG or Stick techniques while following safety standards.

The role emphasizes precision, use of layout tools, and alignment of components using cranes and hoists. Experience with welding procedures and attention to detail are valued, with opportunities for growth and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Use template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Align and assemble product for welding using crane, lever hoist, chains, etc.
• Use cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adhere to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
