Job summary

Utility Metals is seeking a Weekend Shift Welder to join our manufacturing team on Fridays through Sundays, 6:00am–6:00pm. The role offers a 36-hour schedule with paid 40 hours. You will weld to produce durable products, read measurements, and perform basic math for fabrication in a busy shop environment.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to safety. Aluminum welding is a plus and prior welding coursework or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Welding test must be passed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to understand and work with tools and systems.
  • Able to read a standard tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Capable of working with team to meet production goals and maintain quality.
  • On-the-job training to learn company processes and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing setting with non-climate-controlled environment.

Weekend Shift Welder: Friday through Sunday 6:00am to 6:00pm (Work 36 hours get paid for 40!)

Requirements
  • Welding Skills: Must demonstrate proficiency in welding and pass a welding test.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to understand and work with mechanical system and tools.
  • Measurement and Math Skills: Ability to read a standard tape measure, perform basic math calculations, and read/write effectively.
  • Work Environment Adaptability: Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Aluminum Welding Experience (preferred): Prior experience with aluminum welding is a plus.
  • Relatable Experience (preferred): Completion of welding classes or prior welding experience is a plus.
