Job summary

Utility Metals is seeking a 1st shift Welder for Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, in Kentucky. You will perform high-quality welding to produce durable products and read measurements using a standard tape measure. You will also perform basic math for fabrication and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.

The role includes on-the-job training, maintaining a safe work environment, and opportunities for bonuses and biannual increases for performance.

Qualifications

• Welding: must demonstrate proficiency and pass a welding test.
• Mechanical aptitude to understand and operate mechanical systems and tools.
• Read a standard tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and maintain quality.
• Participate in on-the-job training to learn company processes.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate to loud noise.

Requirements

• Welding Skills: Must demonstrate proficiency in welding and pass a welding test.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to understand and work with mechanical system and tools.
• Measurement and Math Skills: Ability to read a standard tape measure, perform basic math calculations, and read/write effectively.
• Work Environment Adaptability: Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Aluminum Welding Experience (preferred): Prior experience with aluminum welding is a plus.
• Relatable Experience (preferred): Completion of welding classes or prior welding experience is a plus.
