Job summary

Generac in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a skilled welder for the weekend night shift (Saturday, Sunday and Monday 5pm–5am). You will perform Mig, aluminum and TIG welding to fabricate parts for assembly of product lines, ensuring high quality finished products.

You will read engineering drawings, operate equipment safely, support robotic welding, and train new staff as needed. A high school diploma or certification and ability to work in a team are required. Emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Certification.
  • Internal weld test required.
  • Understanding of welding fundamentals.
  • Basic welding experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Mig welding equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team.

Job description

Weekend Night Shift - Saturday, Sunday & Monday 5pm - 5AM

$33.10/hour

Welders are expected to perform under the direction of the area supervisor, perform Mig welding, Aluminum welding, TIG Welding, electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a high quality finished product. Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function.

Requirements

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
