Description

WELDER – Performs duties associated with all areas of welding parts for production.

Introduction

This position reports to the Welding Supervisor. It is accountable for fulfilling all assigned duties and has authority delegated according to responsibilities.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Pull and weld parts according to print or specifications.
2. Label products correctly.
3. Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned, which are logical and inherent to this position.

Requirements

• MIG welding experience; semi-automatic MIG welding is a plus.
• One-year on-the-job experience or welding classes/certification preferred.
• Pass JOST Welder Qualification Test.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn about company products and comply with quality, environmental, safety, and company policies.

Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed in a production plant.
• Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist. Occasionally stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
