Job summary

D&H Industries is seeking a skilled Welder for its Wisconsin facility. The role uses MIG/Robotic welders and resistance welders to build and inspect welded components to exact specifications.

Typical duties include reading blueprints, setting up welds, and finishing parts to close tolerances. This is a first-shift position with 5 a.m. start times and 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential schedule adjustments to meet production needs.

Qualifications

  • Reading blueprints/drawings and job routing to plan layout and procedures.
  • Ability to read measurements in metric and standard scales.
  • Inspect weldments for defects and ensure quality.
  • Operate MIG/Robotic and Spot/Resistance welders to meet specifications.

Description

A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Resistance Welders ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications.

SCHEDULE:

This is a 1st Shift position.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10-hour shifts.

Schedules subject to change based on business need.

Typically, the work schedule is between 8-to 10-hour shifts throughout the year.

THE WHAT
What will you be doing?
  • Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.
  • Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
  • Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.
  • Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.
  • May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience and/or Training At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing/welding experience preferred.
  • Skills Basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred. Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale.
