Job summary

D H Industries is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift to perform MIG and robotic welding, spot/resistance welding, and related quality checks ensuring components meet engineered specifications.

Read blueprints, set up for welding, produce assemblies to tight tolerances, and inspect for defects. The role includes a $3.00/hour shift premium and a 2nd shift schedule with 10‑hour days.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year manufacturing/welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read measurements in metric and standard units.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/drawings and routing; plan layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding per specifications.
• Operate MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to meet sheet specifications.
• Weld complex assemblies to close tolerances and ensure quality.
• Inspect welds for defects and finish surfaces as needed.
• May work in other areas to meet production deadlines.

A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Resistance Welders ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications.

This is a 2nd Shift position. ($3.00/hour Shift Premium)

The What

• Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.
• Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
• Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.
• Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.
• May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.

Hours: Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., 10-hour shifts. Schedules subject to change based on business need. Typically, the work schedule is between 8-to 10-hour shifts throughout the year.

• Experience and/or Training At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing/welding experience preferred.
• Skills Basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred. Ability to read measurements in metric and traditional scale.
