Job summary

D&H Industries is seeking a Senior Welder for the 2nd shift to lead the welding department, mentor staff, and perform MIG/robotic/spot welding per engineered specs. You will read blueprints, set up components, and ensure tight tolerances for quality assemblies.

The role includes supervising the 2nd shift, training welders, and supporting continuous improvement in a high-automation environment. On-site work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of welding/manufacturing experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills; blueprint reading preferred; measure with metric and standard units.

Responsibilities

Description

A Senior Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications. The Senior Welder also trains and mentors the 2nd shift welding staff.

SCHEDULE

This is a 2nd Shift position. ($3.00/hour Shift Premium)

Hours: Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., 10-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need.

THE WHAT

What will you be doing?

• Directs the 2nd Shift welding department.
• Trains and mentors the 2nd shift welding staff.
• Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.
• Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
• Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.
• Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.
• May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.
