SPX Technologies is seeking a skilled welder to operate welding equipment and assembly lines for high-quality parts and subassemblies. You will interpret drawings, set up welding parameters, and position materials for fabrication across multiple production lines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of welding experience in manufacturing. Safety and accuracy are essential as you contribute to team goals and on-time production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, punching, shearing, cutting, forming, and assembly.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and drawings; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to move parts safely into place.
• Adjust welding leads, current, feed, and gas for proper welds.
• Cut/form metal parts using hand tools or welding equipment.
• Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Read drawings and follow work instructions; maintain quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
