Top Metal Solutions is seeking MIG / Flux-Core Welders to join our metal fabrication team.
We are considering candidates with different levels of welding experience. Starting pay will be determined based on previous experience, demonstrated skills, and practical weld test results.
Perform MIG and Flux-Core welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
Prepare, fit, and align materials before welding
Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed
Grind, clean, and finish welded parts
Visually inspect welds and identify defects
Accurately use measuring tools
Maintain quality and productivity throughout the fabrication process
Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Depending on experience level, candidates may be evaluated on:
MIG and Flux-Core welding
Flat, horizontal, vertical, and/or overhead welding positions
Weld quality, penetration, and consistency
Blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation
Fit-up, alignment, and assembly
Welding equipment setup and parameter adjustment
Measuring and layout
Basic fabrication troubleshooting
Previous MIG and Flux-Core welding experience
Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or structural welding preferred
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform measurements
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Dependable attendance, reliability, and strong work ethic
Commitment to quality and safety
Structural steel or heavy fabrication experience
Blueprint reading experience
Fitting and assembly experience
Welding certifications are a plus, but not required
Forklift experience is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, as both languages are commonly used in the workplace
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Starting pay will be determined based on welding experience, fabrication knowledge, demonstrated skills, and practical weld test results.
This is a full-time position averaging approximately 40 hours per week, with opportunities for growth based on performance and skill development.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to bend, push, pull, and perform physically demanding work
Work inside a metal fabrication shop with exposure to noise, sparks, dust, heat, welding fumes, and moving equipment
Proper PPE and company safety procedures must be followed at all times
