Apache Workforce is hiring a Structural Welder for industrial fabrication in Conroe, TX. The role involves welding structural steel using MIG and flux-cored processes, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality in a production setting.

Pay ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour with a $2 night shift differential. Candidates must pass a welding test (3G/4G) prior to placement and be able to work day or night shifts.

Structural Welder – MIG & Flux

Apache Workforce is hiring experienced Structural Welders for industrial fabrication work in Conroe, TX.

Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift: Day and Night Shifts Available.

Night Shift Differential: Additional $2.

Welding Test: 3G and 4G. MIG root pass, FLUX fill and cap. Backing plate.

Job Summary

The Structural Welder will weld and assemble structural steel components used in industrial equipment and fabricated assemblies. The ideal candidate has hands-on structural welding experience, can read fabrication drawings, and is comfortable working in a production fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components using MIG and flux-cored welding processes.
• Set up and adjust welding machines according to material and job requirements.
• Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Select the appropriate wire, filler material, and welding settings.
• Inspect completed welds for proper appearance and quality.
• Use hand and power tools for grinding, cutting, and material preparation.
• Follow production and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
• Perform other related fabrication duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around heat, welding fumes, noise, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
• Ability to work extended shifts and overtime when required.
