Job summary

Accelera Staffing is seeking a skilled Fabricator and Welder for a permanent, full-time role in Hopkins, SC. The candidate will fabricate, weld, and assemble metal products from concept to completion in a climate-controlled shop.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, measuring parts, and using MIG (and TIG when needed) welding techniques while handling aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel. A focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools with precision.
• MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
• Experience with laser cutting and press brakes is beneficial.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Capable of working autonomously and safely.

Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled Fabricator and Welder to join our team for a permanent, full-time position. The perfect applicant will bring practical expertise in metal fabrication and MIG welding, with the ability to manage the production of items from initial concept to completion.

Compensation and Schedule

This role offers a rate of $25.00 per hour, with a consistent Monday through Friday shift running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be working within a comfortable, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Core Duties

• Construct, weld, and join metal items such as custom structures, frames, and carts.
• Utilize technical blueprints and design specifications to create finished products from raw materials.
• Ensure precision by measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting various metal parts.
• Execute primary MIG welding tasks while occasionally performing TIG welding.
• Handle a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Operate various fabrication machinery while helping to maintain high quality control standards across all output.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in professional welding and metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and utilizing measuring tools like tape measures with high accuracy.
• Proven skill in MIG welding, with additional TIG welding capabilities being a distinct advantage.
• Familiarity with operating laser cutting tools and press brakes is considered a beneficial asset.
• Solid mechanical skills combined with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Capacity to work autonomously while helping to maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
