Location: Adkins, TX 78101
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 7:00 AM - 5:45 PM
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Reports to: Production Supervisor / Area Lead

As a Senior Welder, you will play a key role in complex fabrication projects, structural assemblies, and custom manufacturing operations. This position requires advanced welding ability, strong fabrication knowledge, leadership by example, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Welder is responsible for performing advanced welding and fabrication work on structural and custom metal assemblies while maintaining high quality and production standards. This role requires strong experience in MIG and Flux-Core welding, blueprint interpretation, fabrication support, troubleshooting, and independent project execution.

The ideal candidate is capable of handling complex welding tasks, assisting with production problem-solving, and supporting junior team members when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced MIG welding on structural and custom fabricated components
• Perform Flux-Core welding for heavy-duty and structural applications
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications
• Set up and adjust welding equipment and parameters properly
• Perform fitting, alignment, and fabrication support as required
• Maintain high-quality weld appearance and structural integrity
• Identify and correct welding or fabrication issues
• Assist with troubleshooting production and fabrication problems
• Support production efficiency and workflow improvements
• Assist in training and mentoring junior welders when needed
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety procedures
• Support team productivity and project completion goals

Welding & Fabrication Skills

• Advanced MIG welding experience required
• Strong Flux-Core welding experience required
• Ability to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Strong understanding of weld penetration, distortion control, and weld quality
• Ability to fabricate and assemble components from prints and drawings
• Ability to maintain high production consistency with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and shop workflow
• Ability to identify and resolve fit-up and dimensional issues
• Experience with structural and custom fabrication work preferred

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesli>

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication projects
• Flux-Core structural welding experience
• Experience mentoring or training junior welders
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Welding certifications are a plus, but not required

Compensation

• Starting pay: $24
• Full-time position
• 40 hours per week
• Stable long-term employment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Work Environment

This position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility. Employees may be exposed to heat, sparks, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
