Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial seeks an experienced Welder I for our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation in Michigan. The Welder I will layout and weld parts using manual processes according to templates and layout specs, ensuring welds meet company and government standards.

The role requires welding in multiple positions, adherence to safety practices, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Previous welding experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team safety.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Weld in Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead positions.
• Weld ductile iron and steel pipe and collars.
• Follow all safety rules and company procedures.
• Operate tools and equipment safely, including welders and cutting torches.
