Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK is seeking a skilled welder to join their team. In this role, you will fabricate and repair metal components while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The position requires a high school diploma and 2-4 years of relevant experience. You will work with welding machines, interpret blueprints, and maintain a positive attitude. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 4 years related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in welding.
  • Ability to plan and accomplish goals with experience and judgment.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and on different shifts.
  • Able to pass 2G MIG root with flux core and cap.
  • Willingness to learn basic cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal using welding techniques.
  • Interprets blueprints to determine appropriate welding process.
  • Inspects completed welds for structural soundness.
  • Promotes and supports safety and production.
  • Promotes safety and productive work environment.
  • Performs quality visual UT and X-ray welds.

What Will You Do?
  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Promotes and supports safety and production
  • Makes quality visual U.T. and x-ray welds
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • This position is classified as safety sensitive. Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace
Your Experience Should Be...
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required
  • 2 - 4 years related experience
