Express Employment, Longview, WA, is actively seeking an Experienced Hard Wire & Dual Shield Welder for a local employer. This full-time role focuses on heavy fabrication and structural welds, using hard wire and dual shield FCAW to repair, reinforce, and extend component life in demanding environments.

Competitive pay is offered for this day shift position. You will read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols, set up and operate SMAW, MIG, and FCAW equipment, and weld in multiple positions

Qualifications

• Experienced welder with hard wire and dual shield FCAW proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with structural steel repair and reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and weld symbols, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Set up welding equipment for SMAW, MIG, and FCAW.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Finish welds with grinders to meet specifications.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Express Employment is currently hiring for a Experienced Hard Wire & Dual Shield Welder for a local company in Longview, WA.

Pay:$23.00-25.00 Hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00AM -3:30pm |

Job Duties:

• Performed hardfacing and FCAW (dual shield) welding on structural steel and heavy equipment to repair, reinforce, and extend component life
• Read and interpreted blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and technical drawings
• Set up and operated welding equipment including SMAW, MIG, and FCAW processes
• Adjusted welding machine settings such as voltage, wire feed, and gas flow for proper operation
• Welded in multiple positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Prepared materials by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components prior to welding
• Ensured weld quality by inspecting for defects and performing necessary repairs
• Finished welds using grinders and other hand tools to meet specifications
• Followed all safety procedures and maintained a clean, organized work area
