Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Seattle is seeking an experienced Welder with a background in heavy industrial, construction, or plant equipment to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance across machinery and structural components. You will join a skilled team supporting customers regionally and ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • Inspect welds and repairs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with customers on-site to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Welder with a background in heavy industrial, construction, or plant equipment to carry out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work on a wide variety of machinery and structural components. You will be an integral part of a skilled team, supporting customers across the region and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on heavy construction equipment, structural steel, crushing machinery, excavators, material handlers, and associated components.
  • Performing fabrication, repair, and reinforcement work to damaged or worn equipment and structures.
  • Working in a field-based role across a large regional territory, with regular independent travel and occasional overnight stays.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure accurate repairs and fabrication.
  • Inspecting completed welds and repairs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company standards.
  • Working closely with customers on-site to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability and performance.

  • Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and carry out high-quality fabrication and repair work.
