Job summary

Manac Inc. in Oran, MO, is hiring for a full-time welding position. The role involves maintaining a safe, organized work area and performing welding tasks in various positions using manual or semi-automatic equipment. Overtime on Fridays is possible.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of welding school or on-the-job welding experience, be able to read blueprints, and operate calipers and measuring tools to ensure quality. Strong attention to safety and attendance is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in welding school or on-the-job welding experience required.
• Proficient with hand tools and reading basic drawings/blueprints.
• Must be able to set a welder and operate welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Set and adjust settings of weld equipment.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and test welded surfaces and structures.

Starting at $25.01/hr.

The compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's level of experience. Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts, possibility of overtime on Fridays

Essential Functions of the Job

• Maintain clean, safe and organized work environment
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Setting & adjusting settings of weld equipment
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Occasionally use hand plasma
• Occasionally reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications
• Occasionally operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

• Must be able to set a welder
• Some experience with pulse MIG required
• Must be able to work overtime when necessary
