Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City, MI is seeking multiple 2nd shift Fitter/Welder to lay out, position, align, and fit metal parts for welding. You will tack-weld with MIG welders and read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, 4:00 pm to 1:30 am, with competitive wages and growth opportunities. The role requires 1+ year MIG welding experience, ability to weld steel and aluminum, and a possible AWS Certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year MIG welding experience.
• Qualified to weld steel and aluminum.
• Ideal candidate will hold an AWS Certification.
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must be able to pass a 2-part weld test as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product.
• Perform flat and horizontal groove welds.
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances.
• Perform flat and horizontal fillet welds.
