Job summary

Schuette Inc. in Rothschild, WI is seeking a Full-time Skilled Labor position. The role requires reading blueprints, MIG welding, and performing setup tasks for production.

Two shifts are available: 1st and 2nd, Monday through Friday (with varied hours). Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of welding experience. The job supports a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements, safety protocols, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and/or work orders to determine product or work instructions specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a level of accuracy and quality in all final products.
• Communicate with team members and leads to share updates on machine performance and production progress.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and/or work orders to determine product or work instructions specifications.
• MIG Weld miscellaneous parts per customer specification using weld fixtures.
• Complete proper job set-up, including changing a wire, gas, general maintenance, adjust wire feed speed, amperage, and Voltage.
• Inspect and measure completed weldments to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring tools.
• Transfer components, products or assemblies to the proper storage type as called out in the Work Instructions or Job Traveler.
• Prepare metal surfaces or workpieces, using hand-operated equipment such as grinders and drills.
• Record operational information on specified Production Reports.
