Job summary

Flowtec Group in Wichita, KS seeks a Welder Fabricator to lay out and fabricate metal weldments according to blueprints and specs. You will use MIG, TIG, and stick welding, read drawings, operate shop tools, and ensure quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires owning appropriate tools, passing weld tests, and potentially AWS welder credentials; forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus; full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Welding, fabrication, and layout experience required.
• Must own appropriate tools and pass a weld test.
• AWS Certified Welder credentials preferred (steel, stainless, aluminum).
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding using MIG, TIG, stick, and other welding processes.
• Performs structural fit-up using shop practices and procedures.
• Uses measuring instruments, hand tools, and fabrication machinery.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Fabricates products and assemblies with accuracy and quality checks.
• Interfaces with other departments to coordinate work and production goals.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety requirements.
• Documents progress and moves between projects with minimal supervision.
