Industrial Metal Fabrication Inc. in Newton, KS is seeking a welding production technician. You will roll, brake, drill, cut and prepare parts per standard work documents, operating equipment safely and delivering quality products on schedule.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting parts, staging work, and notifying supervisors of issues. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work overtime when required, with full PPE provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in welding production plant with fabrication preferred.
• High School/GED diploma preferred.
• Fabrication technical training preferred.
• Able to work overtime if needed.
• Must be dependable and provide references and good work history.

Responsabilités

• Operate plate roll, press brake, saw, drill press, or as an iron worker as directed by standard work documents.
• Inspect parts for defects and check measurements to ensure compliance.
• Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures.
• Inspect and inventory all parts before starting job and stage parts after completion.
• Communicate issues with parts or drawings to the shop foreman.
• Ensure safe operation and proper use of PPE.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
