Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for the 2nd shift (4 days, 10 hours). You will operate metalworking machines, fabricate metal parts, read blueprints, and perform welding, brazing, or soldering as required.

You will inspect parts for quality and maintain tools, while keeping an organized, safe work area. The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to follow English instructions, and a dependable, team-oriented mindset in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating hydraulic presses in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings to fabricate parts.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and standing through shift.
• English literacy for logs and basic reports.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalworking machines to shape metal parts.
• Fabricate metal components using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Weld, braze, or solder parts as required.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment.
• Keep the work area organized and safe.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Support other departments as needed.
