Broadwind Heavy Fabrications has openings in our Industrial Fabrications division for welder/fabricators. We have openings on 1st shift from 5am-3pm and 2nd shift from 3pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday. We offer a $1.00 per hour shift premium for hours worked on 2nd shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)

• Use of blue prints, tape measure, and mathematical skills

• Inspect part prior to fit and ensure proper alignment

• Ensure of part is correct

• Visually inspect part prior to fitting to ensure proper conformance

• Visually inspect joint for cleanliness and depth

• Fit parts, while keeping within specification

• Weld flat and horizontal GMAW

• Weld flat horizontal and vertical flux core

• Clean part after welding

• Operate overhead crane; Properly inspect rigging equipment and use proper rigging technique

• Complete operator sign-off

• Record job and section in time matrix

• Follow all EHS policies in order to work safely; fully engage in behavioral based safety initiatives

You should be proficient in:

• High School / GED
• Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• MIG Welder

• Flux-Cored Arc Welder

Salary info:

$23 - $30 / hr
