Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Welder Fabricator for a 1st shift role in Iowa. The position requires MIG welding, fabricating metal components, and reading blueprints. You will set up welding equipment, inspect joints, use hand tools, and operate a forklift as needed.

Job Summary

Position Title: Welder Fabricator

Wage: $21.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment to fabricate metal components
• Perform welding tasks using MIG welding
• Inspecting welded joints for quality and accuracy
• Utilizing hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
• Operate a forklift to move materials as needed
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• Ability to stand throughout a 10-hour shift
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, push, or pull throughout a 10-hour shift
• Ability to complete repetitive physical labor for a long period of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout a 10-hour shift
• Candidates *MUST HAVE* a proven track record of several years of solid work history; please include details of your work experience on your resume
• At least two years of experience with fabrication and MIG welding
• Experience operating a forklift preferred
• Ability to use different hand tools and machinery
• Ability to accurately read tape measures and blueprints
• Mechanical knowledge of various metals, their properties, and welding processes
