Job summary

Welded Metals is seeking a dependable welder to join our Minnesota shop. You will safely fabricate and assemble metal components using MIG and TIG welding while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Reading blueprints and precise measurement are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2–3 years welding or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
  • Assist with other shop or production duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, and safety gear.

Preferred Skills

  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, or structural steel fabrication.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
