CAB Construction in Minnesota is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to read blueprints, set up and weld parts, and inspect welds. The role requires MIG/TIG/SMAW experience, material handling, and safe work practices.

You'll work a forty-hour week in an hourly position with overtime opportunities. CAB Construction pays 100% of employee medical insurance and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds are essential.

Formación

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Read and understand work related materials.


• Strong blueprint reading.


• Experience in MIG/TIG/SMAW (stick) welding.


• Sanding, chipping and cleaning of parts.


• Layout, assemble in jigs or fixtures, weld, and inspect welds.


• Perform safe work habits.


• Must be able to bend, twist, climb and lift up to 75 pounds.


• Must clean work area at end of each shift or as required.


• Plan work by reviewing work orders and incorporating maximum usage of material with minimum waste.


• Must clean and organize work area throughout shift and at the end of shift.


• Must be able to respond quickly and smoothly to production and customer needs understanding changes to the schedule dictate the work performed.


• Must pass and maintain ability to wear appropriate PPE and monitoring requirements.

Job Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required


• Vocational training in welding strongly preferred.

Experience

• Mechanical: Knowledge of designing, using and repairing machines and tools.

Hours

• Forty-hour work week.


• Overtime, especially when working with customer or production deadlines.


• This position is an hourly position.

This is a safety sensitive position due to the use of lifting and moving heavy material with forklifts and hoists.
