Job summary

Process Technology in Mentor, OH is seeking an hourly Welder to assemble metal parts using TIG welding and related processes. You will cut, grind, and weld components, following procedures and safety standards.

You will report to the Welding Department Lead and ensure high-quality penetrated welds, accurate layouts, and consistent production. The role requires physical lift capability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to weld in awkward positions such as vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration and quality appearance.
• Possess strong math skills.
• Ability to read schematics and cut lists.
• Capable to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently as well as a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Report to Welding Department Lead.
• Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous and consistent.
• Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
• Maintain level of output to minimize production delays.
• Communicate with all levels of the company.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Attend and participate in all required training.
• Recommend improvements to process flows.
• Adhere to ISO processes.
• Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment.
• Other essential duties as assigned.
