Job summary

Process Technology is seeking a skilled welder to assemble fabricated metals using TIG welding and related processes. This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Welding Department Lead and emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong math and reading of schematics. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a production environment that values continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to weld in awkward positions (vertical, flat, overhead) with good penetration and appearance.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to read schematics and cut lists.
• Capable to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous and consistent.
• Follow required procedures and use jigs/fixtures to assist in assembly.
• Maintain output to minimize production delays.
• Communicate with all levels of the company.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Attend and participate in required training.
• Recommend improvements to process flows.
• Adhere to ISO processes.
• Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area.
• Operate equipment safely and report hazards.
• Other essential duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Uses TIG welds to assemble fabricated metals in an efficient manner to maximize production. Weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes. Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding of various metals. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

• Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process
• Maintain level of output to minimize production delays
• Communicate with all levels of the company

• Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area
• Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment
