Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking a Welder Apprentice II in Huntsville, AL. The role assists in welding piping systems and structural components under supervision, with a focus on developing foundational welding skills and adhering to safety standards.

You will work with journeymen and apprentices, preparing materials, reading drawings, and supporting fabrication and installation while progressing skill level. OSHA 10 is preferred and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of welding or related trade experience.
• Basic understanding of welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and welding symbols.
• Willingness to learn and develop welding skills.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic welding tasks using SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW.
• Prepare materials for welding (cutting, grinding, fitting).
• Read and interpret drawings and welding symbols.
• Support fabrication and installation of piping systems.
