Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking an HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II to join our team in Birmingham, AL. This full-time role supports fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and HVAC equipment under guidance of experienced mechanics and foremen.

The position involves reading basic blueprints, installing ductwork per SMACNA standards, and assisting with shop tasks. A background in sheet metal or HVAC with reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of sheet metal or HVAC installation experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow directions from senior team members.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in installing ductwork per SMACNA standards for ATUs, RTUs, and Split Systems.
• Support field and shop fabrication and assembly tasks.
