Comfort Systems USA Mid South in Birmingham, AL is seeking a dependable HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II to support fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of ductwork and related components. Under guidance of skilled mechanics and foremen, you will assist in field and shop tasks, read basic blueprints, and help with installing ductwork per SMACNA standards for ATUs, RTUs, and split systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of sheet metal or HVAC installation experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow directions from senior team members.
• Ability to travel to job sites and occasionally stay overnight if required.
• Punctual and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist fabrication and assembly tasks as directed by the supervisor or lead mechanic.
• Support installation of ductwork per SMACNA standards for ATUs, RTUs, and Split Systems.
• Work in field and shop environments under guidance of experienced mechanics and foremen.
