Overview
The Fabrication Welding Technician is responsible for a variety of welding duties, including performing multiple welding processes such as fusion welding on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The role involves layout and fabrication of precision weldments from blueprints using industry-standard methods, completing work orders timely, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of required items, and maintaining safety standards. The technician maintains welds on various items using processes like manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing, cement core drilling, sheet metal, steam-fitting, and more, on items such as gym bleachers, safety bars, lockers, carts, steamers, tools, electric motorized gates, and recreational equipment, to ensure safety and functionality.

Working Environment
This role is physically demanding, involving work in a fabrication shop with exposure to loud noises and temperature changes. It requires working in a fast-paced, high-volume, quality-controlled environment, often in areas under construction, accessible only by OSHA-approved ladders or stairs. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is necessary. The incumbent must wear appropriate safety gear at all times, including a hard hat, safety glasses, OSHA-approved boots, and flame-retardant clothing.
