Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background with hands-on fabrication work.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and standards for welding and fabrication.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic math for measurements.
• Experience with rigging, pipe threading, soldering, machining, ductwork fabrication, and assembly is desirable.
• Valid welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred; construction site experience a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding processes.
• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal and pipe components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts accurately.
• Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Fabricate ductwork, structural components, and custom metal assemblies adhering to ASME codes & standards.
• Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety protocols to prevent accidents during welding and fabrication activities.

THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION STARTING AT 3:00PM WORKING 4 DAYS PER WEEK, 10 HOURS PER DAY
