Job summary

Daikin Applied in Staunton, VA is hiring for a 2nd shift fabrication role. Starting wage is $28.00 per hour plus a $2.30 shift differential, Monday–Friday, 1:50 pm to 9:50 pm, in a climate controlled facility.

You will read and interpret blueprints and routing sheets, work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials, operate fabrication tools and welding techniques, and help ensure ASME code conformance while keeping quality records.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routing sheets.
• Proficient in basic English communication.
• Ability to lift and stand for long periods in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
• Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
• Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation and movement of Chiller Product and various welding techniques.
• Perform within and have working knowledge of ASME Code regulations.
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards.
• Maintain required records.

Your Responsibilities

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
