Job summary

Daikin Applied in Staunton, VA is hiring for a Line Assembler on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 1:50 pm–9:50 pm). Starting wage is $27.13 plus $2.30 shift differential, with a climate-controlled manufacturing environment and growth opportunities.

You will read blueprints, assemble brazed components, use measuring tools, and follow safety rules. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and stand for long periods while using PPE.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform Line Assembler duties to complete brazing and assembly at assigned work areas.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Complete classroom and DOJO training on brazing processes.
• Read blueprints, schematics, BOMs, routing sheets and OMS documents.
• Assemble, test, and move components and final products with appropriate tools.
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality against prints and standards.
• Maintain quality records and input data into electronic systems; report line issues.
• Complete required skills training (e.g., crane, tugger, fall protection).
• Perform preventative maintenance daily on brazing equipment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform Line Assembler duties as assigned and as needed to effectuate the completion of brazing and brazing duties at assigned work areas
• Demonstrate the ability to adhere to and remain in compliance with all safety rules and PPE requirements
• Successfully complete classroom and DOJO training (copper to copper brazing, copper to brass brazing, copper to steel brazing and know the five stages of flux)
• Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, applicable OMS documents, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction
• Work with materials to complete assigned tasks to meet production requirements
• Operate tools and equipment to assemble, test, handle, manipulate, and move components, assemblies, and final product
• Use measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure the quality products and conformity to all prints, work instructions, and quality standards
• Maintain required records including but not limited to quality checklists, input into specified electronic systems and reporting of all line issues into the appropriate data collection systems
• Successful completion of required skills training (e.g. crane and tugger operation, fall protection, etc.)
• Preventative Maintenance daily on all braze equipment

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishHigh School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
