Job summary

Daikin Applied in Staunton, VA is hiring for a 2nd shift manufacturing role. You will read blueprints, work with various materials, and operate fabrication tools and welding techniques in a climate-controlled facility. The job requires reading English, PPE compliance, and standing for long periods.

Starting wage is $28.00 per hour plus a $2.30 shift differential for 2nd shift. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and routings.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other instructions.
• Work with ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
• Operate tools and equipment used in fabrication, handling, and welding of Chiller Product; apply welding techniques.
• Adhere to ASME Code regulations; maintain quality per prints and standards.
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure product quality.
• Maintain required production records.

Your Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction
• Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials
• Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation and movement of Chiller Product and various welding techniques
• Perform within and have working knowledge of ASME Code regulations
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards
• Maintain required records

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
