Job summary

Daikin Applied, located in Staunton, VA, is seeking a production/assembly professional for 2nd shift. You will read blueprints, operate fabrication and welding equipment, and ensure quality by measuring and inspecting parts to prints. A HS diploma or GED or 2 years related experience is required.

The role includes a climatically controlled facility, PTO/holidays, and growth opportunities with company match and tuition reimbursement. Shift: Mon-Fri, 1:50 pm - 9:50 pm, with 2nd shift differential.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, routing sheets and work instructions.
• Work with ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
• Operate tools and equipment for fabrication and welding of chillers.
• Maintain knowledge of ASME Code regulations.
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction
• Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials
• Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation and movement of Chiller Product and various welding techniques
• Perform within and have working knowledge of ASME Code regulations
• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards
• Maintain required records

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
