Job description

We are System s, LLC, a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This role is within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. The successful candidate is expected to:

1. Weld and assemble different pieces using hand-held and robotic welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize various materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, tubing).
2. Prepare and complete manual and robotic welding work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.
3. Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet specifications before moving to the next department.
4. Work from different specifications and shop orders.
5. Use measuring tools like rulers, squares, templates, and gauges.
6. Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables.
7. Report damages, maintain equipment safety, and report unsafe conditions.
8. Monitor and control the robotic welding process, set up/prepare robotic welding equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform visual weld inspections.
9. Provide feedback to supervisors or engineering teams and perform other duties as assigned.
10. Comply with health and safety guidelines and maintain confidentiality of company information.
11. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
12. Contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed.

Associate II, Welder Qualifications

• At least 1 year of robotic welding experience.
• Basic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma, and cutting torches.
• Understanding of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals.
• Preferred: Certified robotic welder, experience with solid core wires, argon/oxygen gases, and welding of structural steel and plates, with 3-5 years in a robotic welding environment.
