Join to apply for the Manual Machinist (2nd Shift) role at OPEX Corporation.

OPEX Corporation is hiring for a second shift (2p-10:15p) at our 180,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ.

We are looking for dependable, organized, mechanically skilled individuals with extensive experience. If you are punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented, and work well with a team, OPEX may be the right place for you to pursue your career.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate manual machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, tapping heads, arbor press, and surface and OD grinders.
2. Maintain a clean, safe work area.
3. Perform daily maintenance of machines and inform supervisor of necessary repairs.
4. Read and understand layouts, job packets, and blueprints.
5. Inspect parts using micrometers, gauges, and inspection instruments.
6. Perform side operations like deburring during machine cycles.
7. Work as a team member to support all shifts and meet departmental standards.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Manual Machinist is required.
• Ability to perform operations independently and maintain quality and productivity.
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Effective planning and execution skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft products.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand throughout the shift.
