Job summary

QA1 is seeking an experienced Welder for the 2nd shift in Lakeville, Minnesota. You will weld high‑performance suspension components, operate robotic welders, and ensure parts meet strict specifications. The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:30pm–1:30am with potential overtime.

The role requires MIG welding certification or 4+ years’ experience, and familiarity with blueprints and inspection tools. Candidates should be safety‑minded, detail‑oriented, and able to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • MIG welding certification through AWS or 4+ years’ experience and/or training required.
  • Pulse MIG welding experience is preferred.
  • Robotic welding background preferred.
  • Commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Ability to weld with a welding rotator.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Team player with good attendance and work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math, reading, and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed weld production goals and maintain high levels of productivity while minimizing waste while meeting quality standards.
  • Operate robotic equipment, including loading and tacking parts, plus performing touch-ups.
  • Perform basic MIG welding and weld cleaning (both robot and manual).
  • Follow blueprints and specifications, ensuring tight tolerances.
  • Inspect completed products for quality compliance.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and workspace safe and organized.
  • Troubleshoot and report discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $29.00 Hourly

The Career:

At QA1, we design and build the high‑performance suspension and driveline components that fuel passion for classic and modern performance vehicles. As demand grows, we’re adding an experienced Welder to our 2nd‑shift team (4‑day work week) in Lakeville, Minnesota. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw materials into precision‑crafted parts used by car builders and enthusiasts across the country. Every weld matters and your attention to detail ensures our customers get the quality they count on.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 3:30pm – 1:30am plus overtime pending business need

What You Will Do:

The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • MIG welding certification through AWS or 4+ years’ experience and/or training required

  • Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including extended standing 8-10 hours a day with occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office products and capable of quickly training and becoming proficient with ERP system (Syteline)
