Job summary

QA1 in Mooresville, NC is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. You'll perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding, cut and assemble metal per blueprints, and help produce precision suspension components for motorsports and industrial markets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; welding technology education preferred.
  • 2+ years welding experience.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Able to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools.
  • Works well independently and in a team; good attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components per blueprints and drawings.
  • Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and specifications.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
  • Complete paperwork and track materials used.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support QA1.

The Career:

At QA1 , we design and build the high‑performance suspension and driveline components that fuel passion for classic and modern performance vehicles. As demand grows, we’re adding an experienced Welder to our Team in Mooresville, NC You’ll play a key role in transforming raw materials into precision‑crafted parts used by car builders and enthusiasts across the country. Every weld matters and your attention to detail ensures our customers get the quality they count on.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 6:30am – 5:00pm plus overtime pending business need

What You Will Do:
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Inspect welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintains tools, gages, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
  • Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of welding activities and materials used.
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve production goals and support overall operations.
  • Contributes to a continuous improvement culture.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.
The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma or GED with advanced education in welding technology preferred
  • 2+ Years of Welding Experience
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Prior experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Person people want to work with.
  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance with excellent work ethic.
  • Basic math, reading and English communication skills.
  • Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis.
