CNC Operator – QA1

Join QA1 in delivering precision‑crafted parts for classic muscle cars across the country. This role offers a 4‑day work week, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, and the chance to work with cutting‑edge machinery in a highly skilled team.

Base pay range

$21.00/hr – $27.00/hr

The Career

QA1, a privately held leader in performance shocks, steering and suspension systems, rod ends and related components for motorsports and industrial markets, is looking for a CNC Operator to help maintain the highest standards of precision and safety in every part you produce. You will operate CNC machines, perform quality checks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

What You Will Do:
  • Operate CNC machines and ensure efficient machine operation according to job orders and company requirements.
  • Change tooling and perform offset adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct in‑process inspections to ensure high‑quality production.
  • Input accurate part count and transaction values into the job sequence.
  • Verify the accuracy of machined parts using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Load bar stock and tubing and add coolant to machines.
  • Remove burrs or excess metal from finished parts.
  • Complete production paperwork and ensure quality compliance.
  • Perform regular daily maintenance on equipment and keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Troubleshoot and report discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.
Requirements:
  • Certification from a CNC machining technology program or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years with CNC training certificate or 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of machine controls, configuration, and capacity.
  • Knowledge of Haas lathe is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A person people want to work with.
  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance with excellent work ethic.
  • Basic math, reading and English communication skills.
  • Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available and open to cross training and learning.
  • Physically able to stand for 8–10 hours and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and align with QA1’s values.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
