Aerotek is seeking dependable Welders for a 2nd shift in Jacksonville, FL. You will operate metal fabrication equipment, perform spot welding, read blueprints, and handle materials through production.

This long-term role offers room for advancement, full benefits, and multiple shifts. The position is contract to hire, onsite in Jacksonville, with a pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour and a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking dependable and motivated Welders to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work within a metal fabrication department operating fabrication equipment, performing spot welding, reading blueprints, and handling materials throughout the production process. Responsibilities

• Operate metal fabrication machinery safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform spot welding on metal components according to quality and production standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
• Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Load and unload fabrication and welding equipment manually.
• Stage, organize, and prepare raw materials for production.
• Follow established production processes to meet daily output goals.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production needs.
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.

Required Qualifications

• Previous spot welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong tape measure and measurement skills.
