Aerotek is hiring for a Warehouse Fabrication Associate in Mooresville, NC, to support the pre-fabrication department by measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for electrical projects. You’ll perform hands-on fabrication, read blueprints, and assist with general warehouse labor in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 1+ year experience with hand tools, ability to read a tape measure, and comfort working with power tools.

Job Description

Join a leading electrical design-build contractor as a Warehouse Fabrication Associate, where you support the pre-fabrication department by accurately measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for electrical construction projects. In this role, you contribute directly to high-profile client work by performing hands‑on fabrication and general warehouse labor in a fast‑paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure various materials using a tape measure and cut them accurately to specification for the pre-fabrication department.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to prepare, assemble, and process parts for electrical construction projects.
• Follow blueprints or basic instructions to ensure materials are fabricated to the correct dimensions and quality standards.
• Perform general labor tasks in the warehouse, including loading, palletizing, and moving materials and finished parts.
• Support general production activities as needed, acting as a helper to the fabrication and warehouse teams.
• Operate drills and other mechanical tools safely to complete drilling and fabrication tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and pre-fab department.
• Inspect materials and parts for accuracy and quality, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines when using tools, equipment, and handling materials.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience utilizing hand tools in a production, warehouse, construction, or mechanical environment.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for measuring and cutting materials.
• Experience using common hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and similar tools.
• Experience using power tools, including drills and other basic mechanical tools.
• Ability to perform general labor and warehouse tasks, including loading and palletizing materials.
• Strong attention to detail when working on parts destined for the fabrication department.
• Ability to follow basic blueprints or work instructions for fabrication tasks.
• Capability to work safely in a warehouse and pre-fab environment, following established safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or construction-related work using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with welding processes or equipment is beneficial, even at a basic level.
• Ability to work as a helper or production worker supporting multiple tasks across the warehouse.
• Comfort working with electrical-related materials in a fabrication setting.
• Willingness to learn new fabrication and installation skills to support future growth opportunities.

Work Environment

You work in a pre-fabrication and warehouse environment that is not climate controlled, but generally remains comfortable and not excessively hot or cold. The role involves standing, moving materials, and using hand and power tools throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOORESVILLE, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
