Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support continuous improvement and enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. You will set up and weld parts per blueprints, and assist with operations, assembly, and warehouse tasks as needed.

This role contributes to a growth‑oriented team within a nationally recognized metal supplier. Candidates should have MIG welding experience, the ability to read drawings, and a strong mechanical mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• Mechanically inclined and safety focused.
• Basic math skills for measuring and tolerances.
• Familiar with micrometers, calipers and straightedges.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with MIG
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
