Aerotek is seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to read blueprints, lay out materials, and fabricate components to specification in a dynamic shop environment in York, PA. This role focuses on structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete forms, and ornamental iron, with welding methods varying by project.

First shift options are available with overtime as needed; compensation ranges from $27–$30 per hour, and the role is fully onsite at our York location.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in structural steel welding with flux-core welding experience.

• Crane operation experience in steel fabrication environments.

Job description

The Welder and Fabricator will read and interpret blueprints, lay out materials, fabricate components to specification, and weld assemblies for a wide range of custom projects. Work includes structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete forms, and ornamental iron, with welding and fabrication methods varying by project in a dynamic fabrication job shop environment.

Shift and Pay

First Shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm, overtime as needed

Pay: $27-$30/hr

• Proficiency in structural steel welding, with strong experience using flux core welding on structural steel.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Experience operating overhead cranes safely in a steel fabrication or similar industrial environment.
• Competence using air arc, grinders, magnetic drills, and other common fabrication tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, structurally sound welds.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work safely and consistently in a loud, heavy industrial setting.
• Capability to maintain a clean, organized work area while managing multiple tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
