Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to read blueprints, lay out materials, and fabricate components to specification in a dynamic shop environment in York, PA. This role focuses on structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete forms, and ornamental iron, with welding methods varying by project.

First shift options are available with overtime as needed; compensation ranges from $27–$30 per hour, and the role is fully onsite at our York location.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in structural steel welding with flux-core welding experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and weld from blueprints and symbols.
• Crane operation experience in steel fabrication environments.
• Familiarity with air-arc, grinders, and magnetic drills.
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components to specification using flux-core processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Operate overhead cranes safely in a steel fabrication setting.
• Use air-arc, grinders, and magnetic drills and other tools.
• Maintain high-quality, structurally sound welds with attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors.
• Work safely in a loud, heavy industrial environment.
• Keep work area clean and organized while multitasking.
