Job summary

Aerotek in Cocoa, Florida is seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our expanding fabrication team. This contract-to-hire role focuses on Flux-Core welding of carbon steel and reading basic weld prints, with opportunities for advancement as the shop grows.

We offer competitive pay of $24.00 to $32.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential, and steady overtime including Saturdays in a modern, expanded facility with new welding machines and technology.

Qualifications

• Flux-Core welding experience required.
• Experience welding carbon steel.
• Ability to read basic weld prints and blueprints.
• Basic fit-up experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform Flux-Core welding using 1/16" wire on carbon steel.
• Weld large structural components according to specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret basic welding prints and drawings.
• Perform basic fit-up and material preparation when required.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Structural Welder (Flux-Core) - Full Time

Location: Cocoa, FL

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00/hour + $3.00 Shift Differential

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM

Job Responsibilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
